Our vision is to help you to get better, build strength and feel happy and healthy in your mind and body, by providing a dedicated home-from-home right in the heart of Christchurch, Dorset. A place where likeminded people come together to get fit, find high quality clinical treatment and improve their overall health and wellbeing.

We’re called Bridge Health & Wellbeing because our purpose-built centre is a stone’s throw from the famous old town bridge and also because our philosophy is about providing joined-up healthcare – all from our single, easy-access site.

If you come to us with a painful condition or an injury, you’ll receive swift assessment and treatment from a team of highly qualified physiotherapists. You can start your rehab work in our specially designed gym, or improve strength and prevent re-injury by joining a group exercise class with a qualified instructor.

Alongside a clinic, gym, studio and the latest fitness equipment, you’ll also find a warm and friendly community of people. We’re a family-run Christchurch business created by specialists who love working closely with each other. We want you to feel relaxed and welcome here.

Qualifcations

PAUL O’CONNELL (MSC, BSC, HCPC, MCSP)

Physiotherapist

Paul is a physiotherapist with two decades of clinical expertise. He has worked right across the UK, from North Yorkshire and London to Hampshire and Dorset. Sports medicine is one of his areas of special interest: he has worked both on the touchline and in sports injuries clinics, and now lectures on the Sports Therapy programme at Bournemouth University.

LOUISE O’CONNELL (BSC, BCP LEVEL 3 MATWORK)

Pilates Teacher

Louise is a Pilates expert with 15 years’ experience in the private fitness industry. She started her career with a degree in Sports Studies, before going on to work for a number of health clubs, spas and corporate gyms. After taking a break to have her two children, Neave and Henry, Lou decided to go back to her first love, teaching group exercise classes. She is now a qualified specialist in Body Control Pilates.

ELLA PROVAN BSC (HONS)

Sports Massage Therapist

Ella is an experienced Sports Massage Therapist. She began her career with a four-year bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Toronto, going on to complete a diploma in Massage Therapy. Her experiences include working within a chiropractic clinic, a women’s hospital and private massage therapy clinics.

SAMANTHA (SAM) MEEHAN-VANDIKE,LEVEL 4

Sports Massage Therapist

Having worked for 15+ years in the sport and leisure industry Sam has gained valuable experience working as a personal trainer, swimming teacher, triathlon coach and an Australian trained remedial massage therapist. She has also worked as a physiotherapy assistant in both the NHS and private health clubs.

DIANA BRIGGS

Yoga Instructor

Diana combines the traditional practices of yoga and mindfulness with modern, evidence-based scientific research. She is passionate about changing the perception of mental and physical health through yoga and works with her clients to make positive choices aimed at improving both physical and mental wellbeing.

KAREN STONE

Yoga and Chi Kung Instructor

Karen has been teaching Yoga since 2000 and Chi Kung since 2017. She has used these practices to stay mobile and calm through the ups and downs of life.

HAZEL MILLS(BCP LEVEL 4 MATWORK)

Pilates Teacher

Hazel has been teaching within the fitness industry for over 30 years, originally as a freelance aerobics Instructor teaching a wide variety of classes.

CLAIRE KREMER

Strenth and Conditioning Coach

Having spent many years working across the corporate, voluntary and public sectors in some highly pressured work environments, Claire have seen the impact that work stress has on individuals and businesses.
