My name is Laura and I passionately believe the key to feeling body confident is through believing in your own abilities and I wanted to share my journey with you.
I have always been interested in sport, fitness and living a healthy life. From playing hockey at the age of 14 through to competing in a bodybuilding competition at the age of 32. I have great memories of a variety of events that I experienced in that time, but also some not so great!
I have been coaching in the fitness industry now for 3 years and I love it! Meeting anxious women and helping them to unlock their potential is the best job in the world!
In my 3 years, I have noticed a common trend in the body image department of life and that is; the unrealistic images that are advertised make us feel rubbish about ourselves. Then, we punish ourselves because we believe that over exercising and restricted eating are the only way to achieve our goals.
I have suffered with my mental health over the years, but after I competed I was in a very dark place and I too believed the above. Until I was shown how powerful self-belief was and that by loving myself and taking care of my mental health first, I could achieve my physical goals safely and not be restricted.
Now, I have created a safe community for like-minded women to begin their journey, to love what they see in the mirror.
